What We Do
1. Think-Tank and Consultancy
We proactively identify problematic African issues (e.g. governance, economic, social, security etc.); do necessary research, and then present the result and our recommendation to the appropriate authority for implementation accordingly.
Also, whenever called upon, we could assist the authority to do necessary research in order to propose recommendations for the resolution of a specific issue.
2. Lobbying
Brussels—capital of Europe; the seat of the European Union – EU and all her Institutions, the Headquarter of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization – NATO, and many other International organizations, has more than 3000 lobbying groups. These groups lobby for the interest of countries, regions, and various interest groups; yet there’s none for African Union – AU and her Institutions, nor is there any for any African country, or any African interest group, in spite that decisions taken by EU affects African interest directly or indirectly. They often resort to paying huge amount of money to Independent lobbying entities.
Thus, IAE – an African organization deem it necessary to take as one of her roles to defend the interest of African countries, regions, and their various establishments at the European Union and her Institutions.
As Institute for African Empowerment is in the heart of Europe, we understand European Union’s culture and politics related to various areas of great interest to African countries and their Institutions. Consequently, we know the right door to knock and the most appropriate approach to take, to obtain whatever we want for our clients.
3. African Development and Cooperation Projects
Our societal responsibility impels us to build bridges between African and European authorities to realize cooperation and development projects such as: environmental, educational, health, and infrastructural projects etc.
4. Training and Seminars Center
IAE offers training on problems related to international development and cooperation.
Also our medium goal is to establish a center with necessary facilities where African organizations could be holding their meetings, seminars, and conferences, as it is difficult to find such a place at affordable cost in the capital of Europe.
Why We Do It
With the ongoing numerous social challenges facing Africa and her youth, and many young men and women are risking their lives daily, in order to enter Europe and thousands of them are getting drawn monthly; in collaboration with stake-holders, we want to contribute our quota to the resolution to this lamentable challenge.
Living in a world that’s rapidly changing and African countries and Institutions tend to be lacking behind, as it’s the only region that is least developed; in collaboration with stake-holders we want to help in creating modern and vision-minded policies, which will drive the continent to the 21st century horizon.
With the continent’s quest for development and transformation to meet 21st century reality, Institute for African Empowerment – IAE strongly believe that something should be done, no matter how little it could be; thus, we see it deem to partnership with stakeholders, to help create people-oriented policies which would positively impact the lives of African population.
How IAE is Unique
